What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
As a retired police officer I look at crime a bit differently than most. In this series I wanted a hard hitting world that's a cross between Sons of Anarchy and the Sopranos that makes you think about the line between good and evil. Oh, and romance. There's never enough curl my toes, make my heart race, or time to tear off our clothes moments during our lives so I wanted to give you more than a few.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I wrote the hero, Catch Xavier Moon, to show that even bad men feel deeply. Moon is complex, loyal, and dangerous to the wrong people but for Madison Kinlock he's her everything. Madison has strong, pre-defined ideas about right and wrong and I put a lot of myself into her character. Bottom line… I wanted to flip things up and write about the dark side of life in a desert setting where you live for the night.
