At All Costs by Geoffrey Robinson
A steamy South American thriller, At All Costs is a fast-paced read with conspiracies and betrayal aplenty. Kelly is an investigative reporter in search of a scoop. Danny is searching for actionable intelligence for his shadowy superiors. Their missions inevitably tangle in a chaotic mess of smuggling, murder, and international manipulation. The plot moves quickly, and the complex villains help the story stand out from other international thrillers.
Having been rescued by a shadowy figure during her harrowing investigation in Ecuador, Kelly begins investigating the pipeline to Special Operations to understand why anyone would take on a mission at all costs.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The book was inspired by a career in the military and contract worlds and the very interesting people and cultures I was exposed to. There are many ways to fight against wrong, not always with the force of arms. Through research for the book, I came to believe there is a certain character trait which leads some individuals to take on jobs at all costs.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The lead characters are based, liberally, on people I've met. Retired military operators who wished to continue to use the skills they had developed over the years and media types who weren't afraid to get muddy to get an accurate view of the story they were developing. The characters are both driven by their professional goals. I've had the honor of meeting many truly driven people.
